90-minute flat rate for Single tickets
More than one journey per ticket
For Single tickets within Paderborn, the 90-minute flat rate applies: With one ticket, passengers can travel throughout the entire Paderborn city area for 90 minutes and as many trips as necessary – including breaks and changing busses. Especially for small errands, purchasing a Single ticket is sufficient because it’s not only valid for the trip and the return trip, but also for all trips in between. The only condition: The last trip must be completed within the 90 minutes.
Small tip: Single tickets purchased as an Online ticket via the Fahrplan-App are cheaper. Therefore, purchasing tickets via the app not only saves you money, but also time you’d stand in line when entering the bus as well as the annoying search for exact change.
Bring-along options
Bring-along children
Most importantly: children under the age of 6 travel for free. For children aged 6 to 14, a reduced ticket price and the ticket for children applies. For some Time tickets, like the 24-hour ticket for 1 person, the ticket holder can bring up to 3 children.
Bring-along bicycles
Bicycles can only be brought along if the vehicle and the occupation of the vehicle allow it. The passengers must stow and take care of their own bicycle. Endangering and soiling other passengers or the vehicle must be avoided. As fare for bicycles, the price for a Bicycle ticket of the appropriate price level must be paid. For some Time tickets, instead of other passengers, one bicycle can be brought along. The passenger is liable for damages caused by the bicycles they brought along. Parents are liable for their children.
Free transport
The following are transported free of charge:
- Carry-on luggage that can be carried by one person
- Wheelchairs of travelling passengers
- Buggies for travelling children
- One pair of ski or one sled per person
- Small animals in cages or dogs
Controlled front entry
We greet you personally more frequently
Travelling without a valid ticket is no trivial but a criminal offence. Also, not just we are being damaged, but all paying travellers as well. Therefore, we employ controlled front entry at certain times. During these times, please use the front door for entry and present your valid ticket to the driving personnel without being asked to do so or purchase a ticket. The middle and back door are for exiting only.
Exceptions are made for parents travelling with buggies or people with limited mobility, such as those requiring a wheelchair. For these groups of people, the wider back doors are still open. At stops with a high number of passengers, entry can be allowed via all doors. The decision is made by the driving personnel.

WLAN & USB docking stations
Surf for free in urban transport
All our busses are equipped with freely usable WLAN for fast surfing, texting and mailing during the drive. The data volume made available allows all users to go online with their smartphones or tablets easily and quickly. Posters and pictograms in all busses inform you about this service and contain instructions on how to use it. The network is called “fahr mit” and is opened automatically after activating the WLAN connection. A personalized registration or login is not necessary. You will be automatically logged out when the connection is interrupted for more than ten minutes.
USB docking stations
In addition to the free WLAN, a huge number of our busses is also equipped with USB docking stations, allowing you to easily charge your smartphone during the journey. This also eliminates the worry for all people purchasing their tickets online via the Fahrplan-App, to have run out of battery in case of a ticket inspection.
